CHICAGO BABY!!! Day 1~~

ALRIGHT guys... this is gonna be an AWESOME long post with AWESOME lots of pics and AWESOME lots of words and AWESOME lots of descriptions =D... ARE YOU READYYY KIDS??!?!?!?

*who lives in a pineapple und......* nvm.. LOL

SO!! i left for chicago early saturday morning.. reached there like 12.30 something.. den went to the hotel to wait for my Aunt and Cousin.. ok so TECHNICALLY they aren't my aunt and cousin.. or are they.. nvm i have a complicated large family.. but I consider them aunt and cousin anyway =D haha..

So As i stepped out of the hotel.. (Oh btw, we stayed at the 4 points by Sheraton Hotel, i totally forgot to take a pic of the hotel i was staying in cos i was too busy taking pics of everything else LOL...).. I saw these around me..

Then we went for lunch.. the place we went was called the Grand Lux Cafe.. sounds grand huh.. well yeah.. it looked grand too.. check it out...

Grand huh..? And there were like FANTASTIC number of ppl queueing up to get a place..

What did i tell u? lol..

So then we got a place.. and ordered... and ATEEEEEEE....

My meal, some cheese thingi.. LOL..

THAT WAS AWESOME BTW...

My aunt had a bowl of clam chowder shop...

ALL 3 of us had a cup of FRESH strawberry lemonade.. TOO GOOD..

Then it was time for desert.. my cuz, being here b4, ordered this for us to share...

Looks like some brownie with icecream and and sliced strawberry rite?

WRONG!! that "brownie" was just an outer "casing" to MOLTEN chocolate on the inside.. AHHHH SO SINFUL OMGGGG.....

Then we finished and were about to leave.. and we passed by the cake sections.. and i was shocked..

SO FREAKING TALL ZOMG...

the "BEST" carrot cake.. LOL

I swear this is the FATTEST cake i've seen in my life.. hands down.

My aunt and cousin-who-speaks-like-9-languages-omg.

When we went out of the restaurant and started walking down the street.. we ran into THIS guy..

WHOM, i might add.. was AWESOME.. like no kidding.. he was GOOD... i'll upload a vid in the next post =).. THEN.. we walked and shopped and walked and walked.. and i was spamming pics like MAD.. LOL.. so just check out the pics.. i'll explain the pics when needed.. otherwise it's just buildings and scenery =)

Then my aunt mentioned something about some famous popcorn.. that apparently NOBODY has heard of it.. until ONE day oprah mentioned it on her show.. and IMMEDIATELY after that, business went crazy.. i'm not kidding.. the line is MAD.. it's worse than the 1st day opening of J CO donuts in malaysia.. like 10x worse.. and it's EVERYDAY.. =.=

So while my aunt and cuz went to queue to buy, i stood by the side and took pics =)

I'm not kidding about the coldness.. it was like.. what.. 2-4 degree celcius.. and i believe it dropped to 0 soon after lol...

We went in.. and i saw these...

I was so tempted to buy this book.. SO SO tempted lol..

Then.. we went back to the hotel for like 5 minutes to put all our shopping stuff.. and went out again for dinner.. it was a... erm... 5 minute walk down the street to this brazilian steakhouse called Fogo de Chao...

So technically it was a meat buffet.. with a salad bar.. for the ppl who are gonna gluttonize themselves (like us) to not feel so guilty.. so......

And this is what i took from it.. like.. kinda one of everything lol..

THIS is some brazillian cheese bread.. it's GOOOOOOOD....

And then.. like what my cousin said.. BRING ON THE MEAT!!! oh but before that.. he was like "hey drew.. do u drink...?" and i was like.. wellllllllllllll......

These were the "accompaniment dishes".. or.. side dishes.. (which we didn't even finish.. LOL)

AND THEN... THE MEAT!!! ok so basically how this works is that.. u have a small card.. one side red one side green.. the green means KEEP IT COMING.. and the red means to stop.. if it is green.. waiters holding giant skewers of meat will come up and ask if u want it.. and the'll cut off a slice for u and put it onto ur place..

I'm not kidding about the giant skewers...

Oh did i mention the giant knives?

Oh yeah.. in case u guys were wondering what was "everything" when i said one of everything.......

Oh yeah.. then we had a glass of red wine in between.. the best way to savor a MEAT dinner..

And then we had a cup of papaya cream.. to help digest the meat..

Apparently papaya has some enzymes to help digest meat..

so yeah.

THIS.. is GOOD STUFF..

It's like.. canadian ice wine.. according to my cousin, the grapes are plucked when it's at -8 degree centigrade,and made into wine.. the water freezes, but the sugar doesn't.. so it's concentrated sugar..

He wasn't kidding.. it was POTENT SWEET.. it's like drinking nectar.. so good =D

It wasn't a big glass.. but it was equally potent/filling..

THIS... was killer.. this is PREMIUM tequila..

And people don't drink this in a shot.. (like what i'm used to).. they slowly sip this.. like.. SLOWLY.. and i'm SOOOO not used to it omg..

(one shot better.. LOL).

ANYWAY, after that we walked back to the room, it was like CHISIN cold.. but well.. walk walk walk.. and saw this...

Biggest mcD in US apparently.. or was it the 1st McD in US.. one of it.. all i know is, IT'S EFFING HUGE LOL...

And this is my sofa-bed.. so cool.. felt so jakun cos never see b4.. LOL

Due to the awesome dinner.. i crashed on my bed and woke up with a slight hangover.. i duno how that happened.. headache and all.. MUST be cos TOOOO much meat.. and that tequila, and wine, and brazillian rum, and ice wine and...... BUT thing is, i didn't feel tipsy AT ALL.. like NO FEEL.. not kidding.. i looked and felt perfectly fine after dinner... but got after effects the next day...

Dun tell me i too pro until i dun need to get drunk, dun even need to get tipsy to get hangover omg.. T_T EITHER that or because i haven't drank in such a long while since i got here that my skillztatkillz gone missing somewhere d.. T_T.. nuuuuuuuu...
